Joy-Marie Lawrence has spent more than 20 years in the Boardroom in a variety of Executive and Non-Executive roles. She has chaired Boards in the investment, science and technology, legal, education and healthcare sectors, and coached and mentored Executive Directors, Non-Executive Directors, and leaders from across the private sector, public sector, and civil society.

Joy-Marie’s wide range of legal, governance, and business experience is complemented by an array of academic qualifications. These include an Executive MBA (with distinction) from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business, an LLM degree (Wits University), an LLB degree (University of Cape Town), and a BA degree (University of Cape Town).
